Q: IS THERE PARKING?
A: Yes! There is free parking in the garage and on the street. Please view the directions before coming to your appointment to avoid confusion.
Q: HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
A: Please book online or call our office at 619-798-4564 x3 - either way you’ll put a credit card on file to save your spot but you’re card will NOT be charged. You can pay however you want after the massage. When booking, you must select to receive emails in order to get a confirmation email.
Q: WHAT STYLE MASSAGE CAN I GET?
A: We consider our massages customized. We have 13 therapists and they all have a unique blend of techniques. If you’re looking for a particular style please call or use the web chat and our staff will help you determine the therapists best suited to your needs.
Q: WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
A: Your therapist will greet you in the office and bring you to the treatment room. She’ll ask you a few quick questions to determine the best style and pressure for your massage and give you instructions about undressing. She’ll leave the room for a couple minutes while you get comfortable on the table.
Q: HOW LONG IS THE MASSAGE?
A: The massage time doesn’t start until the therapist returns to the room. If she starts the massage late by her own fault she will extend the massage time to make it up. If the client arrives a couple minutes late we will do our best to add a few minutes to the massage, but we may not be able to give the full time if it would cut into the next guest’s massage time.
Q: WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
A: Appointments can be cancelled by calling / texting / or chatting with our office. When an appointment is booked, that time slot is blocked off on your therapist's schedule. Since she is reserving that space exclusively for you, we ask for 4 hours notice when changing or cancelling appointments. In order to compensate the therapist for her lost time, 100% of the service price will be charged for appointments that are rescheduled or cancelled with less than 4 hours notice. If you pre-paid for your appointment, please call our office at 619-798-4564 to request a refund or account credit. Please note: out of respect for the next guest, late arrivals will receive the remainder of their service timeframe.
Q: Do You Offer Any Deals?
A: We occasionally have last minute deals, follow us on Instagram @northparkmassage - we also offer discounted memberships and a loyalty program.
Q: Can I pay with my HSA / FSA card?
A: Yes! And we can provide an itemized receipt.
Q: Can I use my insurance to pay for the massage?
A: We do not directly bill any insurance companies, but we can provide you with an ‘insurance receipt’ if you’d like to submit for reimbursement.
Q: How much should I tip?
A: We recommend you think of your massage therapist as you would a waiter in a restaurant. Our therapists love what they do and your tip may reflect your appreciation for their service.
Q: How will my body be covered during the massage?
A: You will be modestly covered by a sheet and blanket at all times; Only the area being worked on will be exposed, and then covered back up when the therapist moves along. No areas will be exposed without your consent. You should always let your therapist know if you are uncomfortable for any reason during your massage session.
Q: Must I be completely undressed?
A: You should undress to your desired level of comfort. About half of our clients prefer to be completely undressed, while the other half prefers to keep their underwear on. This is completely up to you. You will undress, and re-dress, alone in the privacy of the massage room and you will be securely covered by a blanket and a sheet during your massage session.
Q: What does a massage therapist’s certification mean?
A: Certification means that a massage therapist has met and is maintaining the requirements and paid the fee to legally practice massage in California. To obtain certification, a massage therapist must complete a minimum number of training hours at an accredited or accepted school or training center and pass a federal background check.
